Dear St. Andrew Family,
This year’s Stewardship theme seems especially appropriate for St. Andrew. The verse from Jeremiah speaks of a future with hope, and the theme “Trust in the Promise”, encourages each of us to put aside that which separates us from God and look to a future that is possible only when we open ourselves to what God is calling us to do.
With the calling of a new Pastor, St Andrew has an opportunity for a new beginning. We can build on the vision of those who came before us, and create new ministries to serve an ever changing community.
God has given us so much to be thankful for. This month, some of us have shared what the gift of St. Andrew has meant to us. At our Stewardship dinner on October 18, we will have a time to celebrate the history and faithfulness of those who were called to begin St. Andrew. We will also highlight and celebrate our current ministries, and will take a peek at what a “future with hope” might look like.
During this time, the Stewardship Team is asking all members of the St. Andrew family to examine what the gift of St. Andrew has meant to you and your family, and how might we enhance our ministries to allow others to experience this gift?
As we celebrate what we have received from God and contemplate our future as a church, let us also look faithfully at how we can give back to God a portion of the extravagant gifts God has given to us.
The Stewardship Campaign and pledge cards to be returned on October 25th are representative of our monetary gifts to continue God’s work in this place. We ask that you give faithfully as we explore together the promised future with hope.
Blessing on you,
The Stewardship Team
