Children's Choir

Ages 4-12

Sunday mornings following worship

 

Games, movement and various instrumental activities are used to discover and develop the singing voice and learn basic music literacy. The Children’s Choir provides worship leadership every 6-8 weeks, serving as greeters, ushers, readers and communion stewards as well as presenting prepared musical anthems. This affords the congregation the opportunity to witness the innate faith of children and nurtures the children’s full, conscious, and active participation in public worship.

The children also participate in a weekly hymn study to become familiar with the songs of our faith and denomination tradition. They also learn to view the hymnal as a resource for active participation in worship.
