Our Church Leadership
The congregation of Saint Andrew UCC, Louisville is enhanced because of the professionalism, enthusiasm and spiritual guidance of the people who have been called to lead our community of Christian faithfulness. Here are a few of the people who serve to lead our church and its ministries:
J.R. Cannaday - Minister of Music
J.R. is a native of Virginia and received his undergraduate degree in music from Bridgewater College in 1985. He moved to Louisville to attend Southern Seminary and graduated with a Masters of Church Music degree in 1996. Over thirty years of music ministry experience, J.R.has served as Organist and Minister of Music at churches in both Louisville and Virginia. He was called to serve Saint Andrew UCC, Louisville in May of 2005.
Mary Rose Linker - Church Secretary
Mary Rose has been at Saint Andrew UCC, Louisville since August 2011. She is native to Louisville and has previously served on the staff of churches in North Carolina. She has also worked in refugee and camp ministry in North Carolina, campus ministry in Kansas, and outreach ministry in California. She is presently a theological student "in discernment," as she makes preparations to be considered for the Rite of Ordination as a Pastor within the United Church of Christ.
Joe Louden - Custodian
Joe has been a member of Saint Andrew UCC, Louisville ever since St. Matthew UCC joined Saint Andrew in 1998. A former self-employed carpenter and builder, Joe is handy at just about everything. He works very diligently with our Pastor and Building and Grounds Team to make certain that our entensive edifices and campus are cleaned and well maintained.

Saint Andrew UCC celebrates its
sixth year as an
Open and Affirming (ONA) congregation!
We welcome everybody (as Jesus would!); and "discerning the signs of our times," we are particularly intentional about extending a special welcome to, and full affirmation of, folks from among the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community. For more information, see our ONA page.
