Our Pastor...Rev. Lori Miller-Price
Rev. Lori Miller-Price became our senior pastor in January, 2016. Lori was born and raised in the United Church of Christ in Philadelphia, PA and Princeton Junction, NJ. After graduating from high school in New Jersey, Lori attended Wittenberg University in Ohio, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology degree in 1986. She went to seminary at Christian Theological Seminary (CTS) in lndianapolis and graduated with her Master of Divinity from CTS in 1990 and was ordained in the United Church of Christ in the spring of 1991.
Lori served as associate pastor (with an emphasis on youth) at St. Marks United Church of Christ in New Albany, lN from 1990 - 1999, She resigned from St. Marks in 1999 because she wanted to have the opportunity to work as a full time stay-at-home mother which she did for almost five years. ln 2003, she was called for the second time to be the associate pastor (this time with an emphasis on senior adults) at St. Mark’s United Church of Christ where she served from 2003-2010. Lori then served as the pastor of two churches; Salem, United Church of Christ in New Middletown, lN and Corydon Christian Church, (Disciples of Christ) in Corydon, lN from January, 2010 - January, 2016.
Lori is married to the Rev, Tom Miller-Price. Tom is an Episcopal Priest at The Church of Our
Merciful Savior in Louisville, KY and he is a chaplain with Hosparus of Louisville. Tom and Lori have four children between them. Tom and Lori share many interests and hobbies including photography, cooking and trying new recipes, hiking, music, traveling, playing board games and watching "America's Got Talent." Tom is a big U of L fan while Lori has to work a little bit harder to stay interested in sports Tom and Lori love spending time with their family and with good friends, they enjoy all of the opportunities they find to share together in special worship services and they have found many ways to be involved in each other’s churches. They cherish the times when they are leading workshops together, attending spiritual retreats and attending continuing education events together as well. Her creativity is often used in designing worship and prayer spaces, and in creating gifts for people. Most recently she has found creative expression in painting whimsical designs on old furniture. Lori loves to help people find spiritual practices that help them to draw closer to God.
